Our Model 940 Oil Guard® is a complete system for elevator sump applications. It is designed to protect the environment from oil contamination by removing water from the basin but not oil. This 940 system includes a Model 152 is a nonautomatic pump rated for 4/10 HP and 115 V. The Model 152’s switch case, motor housing, and pump housing are each constructed of cast iron. The pump’s identification tag, handle, and hardware are made of non-corrodible stainless steel. This attention to detail ensures that the Model 152 is able to withstand the most demanding applications. This system also includes an Oil Smart® pump switch, and alarm. Making it a convenient plug-and-play system for the installer.
The Oil Smart® Pump Switch is an industrial quality piggyback switch listed as UL508. The sensor probes are made of high quality 304 stainless steel and able to distinguish between oil and water. The probes call for the pump to run when they sense water and turn off when sensing oil or air. The Oil Smart® Pump Alarm is a NEMA 4X enclosure that will sound an audible alarm if the liquid level becomes too high. Simultaneously, a red beacon will illuminate as an early warning of a problem and 1 of 2 other indicator lights will illuminate. On the face of the alarm panel either a yellow light will illuminate for high oil or a white light for high water. There are dry contacts for each of these lights. The Oil Smart Alarm includes a 20′ power cord to be plugged into an 115 V outlet.
